Directed by Jerry O'Sullivan. With Jeffrey Forsyth, Ron Bonk, Edward Mastin, Bob Licata. While out hunting, Dan accidentally shoots another hunter. Rather than reporting the accident to the authorities, he chooses to bury the body and forget it ever happened. One year later, Dan returns to the same woods for a hunting trip with some friends.
Gut-Pile is so under-developed, so slapdash in its narrative approach that we never get completely involved in the story (what little there is).
Thus Gut Pile was created. Years ago Jim moved up to Alaska from the lower 48 and hasn’t looked back since. After discovering all the natural beauty that the state has to offer he dived headfirst into the local hunting community and has enjoyed truly epic adventures while bagging some amazing trophies. It's strange that some low or even no budget flicks get a good release. Gut Pile is a perfect example. It's clearly to see that indeed no budget was involved but what made it watchable was the way it was shot and edited by the director Jerry O'Sullivan.
